Arne Jørgen Aasen
Arne Jørgen Aasen (born October 15, 1939) is a Norwegian chemist and professor emeritus at the University of Oslo (UiO), School of Pharmacy. Aasen received his engineering degree in biochemistry and organic chemistry, and a doctorate (dr. ing.) in organic chemistry from The Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH = NTNU from 1996), Trondheim in 1964 and 1966, respectively. In 1972 he defended his thesis for a doctorate (tekn. dr.) at The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden.
