Zacarias da Costa

Zacarias Albano da Costa (born 16 January 1964, in Remexio) is an East Timorese politician and diplomat. On 8 August 2007, he became Minister of Foreign Affairs following the 2007 parliamentary election. Before being appointed as Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, Minister da Costa was a Member of Parliament and Leader of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Bench at the Parliament. In addition to his ministerial role, he is currently Chairman of the National Council of the PSD. Minister da Costa is married to East Timor's UN Representative Milena Pires.
