Dhoom (Hindi: धूम Dhūm, meaning "Bang") is an Indian buddy-cop-action film series. The films revolve around Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan), an Assistant Commissioner of Police and his sidekick Ali Akbar Fateh Khan (Uday Chopra), who attempt to capture wanted, professional thieves. In an ode to common practice, the plot is often heavily influenced by the antagonist. It is the largest Bollywood film franchise in terms of box-office revenue. Dhoom is now the number one highest-grossing film series in Bollywood.
