It was launched on 1 August 2008, Sony Entertainment Television Asia was a 24/7 English general entertainment channel for women and it features programmes that are "wickedly juicy" content from SPE Networks – Asia, which owns and operates four cable and satellite channels AXN Asia, BeTV, Animax Asia, and SET One, and is part of Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI). SET Asia was devoted to serving the interests of discerning, urban career women.
