Annemasse

Annemasse (French pronunciation: ​[anmas]) is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in eastern France. It is a chef-lieu de canton and part of a transborder agglomeration known as Grand Genève. It lies near the border with Switzerland, approximately 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) east of Geneva. It is the second largest city (after Annecy) in the Haute-Savoie department with 35,712 residents in 2017.
