Elvi Hale

Patricia Elvira Hake (born 29 January 1931), known professionally as Elvi Hale, is a retired British actress. Raised in Romford, Essex and educated at Reed's School. She played Anne of Cleves in The Six Wives of Henry VIII, broadcast in 1970. She was discovered by Sir Laurence Olivier, who saw her perform at the Old Vic School. Elvi played Heather, the love interest of Leslie Phillips (as Sub-Lieutenant Pouter) in the film version of The Navy Lark (1959), a role normally played by Heather Chasen in the radio series.
