TourPedia is the Wikipedia of Tourism. It contains information about accommodations, restaurants, points of interest and attractions of different places in Europe. At the moment only eight places are covered: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Dubai, London, Paris, Rome and Tuscany. However, the idea is to extend the service to all the world.
Data are extracted from four social media: Facebook, Foursquare, Google Places and Booking. They were elaborated and integrated in order to build a unique catalogue.
Deze dataset is een demonstratie van het gebruik van Linked Open Data t.b.v. het RVO Landen Portaal.
The data collected in this dataset is collected by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and has been made available to the public on the web, and can be found here. In the data that has been made available for this specific dataset contains information about countries around the globe with the objectives of these country monitors:
- To provide companies with a first impression of doing businesses in a country;
- To provide sources and contacts for more detailed information;
- To sketch opportunities as to how companies can be further supported when going into business in a country.
