Hi, I'm co-founder and director of Triply. I'm interested in making linked data available to organizations and professionals. I do this together with an amazing team at Triply, with products like TriplyDB and TriplyETL. I believe that linked data will become increasingly more important for organizations, since it is one of the few technologies that focuses on standardization and knowledge capture.

The following sentence plays a prominent role in John Searle's 1978 article Literal Meaning:

"The cat is on the mat" (drawing from the original article)

The point of the paper is that even the most simple sentence may encode an arbitrary amount of information. As such, it is a great sentence to try to model using linked data. Because so many aspects remain unexplained in this seemingly simple sentence, there are many different ways in which the sentence can be modeled.
