1987–88 Juventus F.C. season
Juventus F.C. had its least successful season since 1956-57, failing to win any titles coupled with a mere sixth place in Serie A. This was much due to expected top scorer Ian Rush not adapting to the Italian game, the Welsh striker going from 30 goals with Liverpool in 1986-87 to seven league goals with Juventus. The rest of the team did not perform at the expected level either, causing Rino Marchesi's dismissal as head coach.
