Price and Nance would return, but Daugherty would be out for the rest of the season. The Cavaliers finished the season with a 42–40 record, finishing 4th in the Central Division. Price led the team in assists as the Cavs advanced to the playoffs. In the first round of the playoffs, the Cavaliers lost in five games to the Philadelphia 76ers.
