1st Tennessee Infantry Regiment
The 1st Regiment, Tennessee Infantry was an infantry regiment from Tennessee that served with the Confederate States Army in the American Civil War. The Regiment was started on May 2, 1861 as a Volunteer Infantry regiment with George Maney as commander for the first 90 days. Afterwards, command of the regiment went to Hume Feild. Sam Davis joined the regiment as a scout, but was executed as a spy by Union forces after being captured in his makeshift uniform.
