2015 Eusébio Cup

The 2015 Eusébio Cup was the 8th edition of the Eusébio Cup, with Benfica facing Monterrey in Mexico. It was the first edition played outside of Portugal. The match marked the inauguration of the Estadio BBVA Bancomer, Monterrey's new home ground after leaving the Estadio Tecnológico which had been Monterrey's home stadium since 1950, the ceremony which took place before the game included many of the club's legends such as Francisco Javier Cruz and Jesús Arellano. The game itself went scoreless in the first-half, but in the second-half a goal from rookie César Montes gave Rayados the lead, two additional goals from Rogelio Funes Mori and Santiago Rivera led Monterrey to a 3–0 win in its first ever home match at the BBVA.
