Administrative divisions of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic

For the purposes of administration, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is divided into eight administrative divisions. Of these, seven are regions, while the capital Stepanakert is granted the status of special administrative city. The municipalities in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic are divided into 2 categories: urban communities and rural communities. Currently, there are 10 towns (urban) and 322 villages (rural) in the NKR.
