Alessio De Sio

Alessio De Sio (born 31 May 1968) is a former journalist and politician. He is the External and Institutional Relations Director and Senior Vice President of Hitachi Rail Italy. De Sio worked as a reporter at Il Tempo for nearly a decade. He also had a stint as city councilman of Rome and mayor of 'Civitavecchia" (RM). He served as advisor of the Prime Minister’s Office in the Civil Defense team for the waste crisis in Naples in 2006; as a "Eni" consultant from 2007 to 2010. In 2010 De Sio was hired as a Head of Institution Relations for "Finmeccanica", the leading industrial group in the high-technology sector in Italy and one of the main global players in aerospace, defence and security.
