Alexandri (amora)
Alexandri (Talmudic Aramaic: רבי אלכסנדרי) is the name of one or more amoraim. The Talmud (Avodah Zarah) records that Rabbi Alexandri announced: "Who wants life? Who wants life?" All the people came and crowded about him and said to him: "Give us life". He then told them: "Who is the man that desireth life? Keep thy tongue from evil" (Psalms 34:13-14).
