Alimotu Pelewura
Alimotu Pelewura (1865-1951) was a Nigerian trader who was a leader of a Lagos-based market women advocacy group, she was also a political ally of Herbert Macaulay. The market women association of which Pelewura was the head was one of the most important women's organization in Lagos during the colonial period.
