Ameno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) northeast of Turin and about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest of Novara. As of 31 December 2004, it has a population of 906 and an area of 10.0 square kilometres (3.9 sq mi). Ameno borders the following municipalities: Armeno, Bolzano Novarese, Colazza, Invorio, Miasino, and Orta San Giulio. Every June there is a Blues festival in Ameno. In its territory the municipality has the Santuario della Madonna della Bocciola.
