American International School in Gaza (Arabic: المدرسة الأميركية الدولية في غزة‎‎) is a school located in Gaza. The school opened in 1999. During Israel's bombing of Gaza, Operation Cast Lead, the school was destroyed by an aerial bomb. Islamic fundamentalists criticized the schools coeducational classes. Islamic fundamentalists had attacked the school on some occasions. 2009 the school held summer camp and planned to hold fall classes even though the campus had been bombed.Islamic fundamentalists had nothing to do with destroying the AISG. Israel bombed the school, destroying it during the summer of 2014. It has since reopened but during the reconstruction hundreds of bomb fragments and unexploded ordnance were carefully removed from the school compound. All of the fragments were from Mk-
