Andrew S Gibbons

Andrew S. Gibbons is the Department Chair of Instructional Psychology and Technology at Brigham Young University. He has experience in the field of Instructional Design and Technology. For eighteen years he served as a Consultant for two major marketing and consultancy firms where he developed training systems for fighter pilots, guided missile maintenance personnel, airline pilots and middle school science students. In 1993 to this date, he has been involved in lecturing and researching in the fields of instructional design, design-based research, and mentoring interfaces. He developed the Theory of Model Centered Instruction; a theory rooted in Cognitive Psychology.
