Apprentice (film)

Apprentice is a 2016 Singaporean drama film directed by Boo Junfeng. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. It was selected as the Singaporean entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards. The film focuses on a young prisons officer meeting an older colleague, whom is revealed to be the chief executioner.
