Arlington (formerly, Arlington Place) is a former unincorporated community now annexed to Riverside, in Riverside County, California. It lies at an elevation of 791 feet (241 m). Arlington is located 6 miles (9.7 km) southwest of downtown Riverside. The place was established in 1875. The Arlington post office opened in 1881, changed its name to Arlington Place in 1891, and back to Arlington in 1900. The name "Arlington" was chosen by election.
