Aust-Agder County Municipality

Aust-Agder County Municipality (Norwegian: Aust-Agder fylkeskommune) is the regional governing administration of Aust-Agder, Norway. The main responsibilities of the county municipality includes the running of eight upper secondary schools with 4,000 pupils. It administrates the county roadways, public transport, dental care, culture and cultural heritage. The county council has 35 members, and since 2011, Chairman of the County Council is Bjørgulv Sverdrup Lund of the Conservative Party. The administrative seat is located in Arendal.
