Automat Pictures is an entertainment production company based in Los Angeles, which specializes in EPK, Blu-ray and DVD formats, as well original television programming, web content and independent feature film production. Automat’s also released HBO Documentary Films’ Vito, about the activist and author of The Celluloid Closet, Vito Russo. It had its premiere at the New York Film Festival in October, 2011, went on to screen within such festivals as Maryland Film Festival, and aired on HBO in July 2012.
