Becket Center Historic District

Becket Center Historic District is a historic district in Becket, Massachusetts. The 40-acre (16 ha) district encompasses the area that was the traditional center of the town of Becket. Most of the architecture in the district is in the Federal and Greek Revival styles popular in the late 18th to mid 19th centuries. In addition to houses, the district includes public buildings: an old post office, old town hall, Congregational church, and schoolhouse. It also includes the historic town pound (where stray livestock would be penned until reclaimed by its owner), a cemetery, and the only surviving 19th century church horse sheds in Berkshire County.
