Bidroom.com is a Dutch start-up online booking platform started in 2014 in The Hague by Casper Knieriem and Michael Ros. The bookings are made in a private environment, thanks to which, the hotels are able to offer rooms at discounted prices, as compared to other Online Travel Agencies. To start making booking requests, the user has to sign up, hence the private environment. The hotels are charged a much lower commission (2%), compared to other booking platforms, and in exchange, are obligated to offer at least 5% discount to Bidroom.com users.
