Bolshechernigovsky District

Bolshechernigovsky District (Russian: Большечерни́говский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Samara Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,980 square kilometers (1,150 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Bolshaya Chernigovka. Population: 20,477 (2010 Census); 20,766 (2002 Census); 21,412 (1989 Census). The population of Bolshaya Chernigovka accounts for 33.2% of the district's total population.
