Brian Jones (activist)
Brian P. Jones is an American actor, educator and activist. Jones ran for Lieutenant Governor of New York in 2014 alongside Howie Hawkins on the Green Party of New York ticket. The ticket received 184,419 votes (4.86%), which was more than enough for the party to retain statewide recognition. He is known for his performance of the one man play Marx in Soho. Jones has been published in the New York Times, Huffington Post, Socialist Worker and Jacobin Magazine Jones is enrolled in doctoral studies at the CUNY Graduate Center.
