Cambridge North railway station

Cambridge North railway Station is a railway station currently under construction located in the Cambridge suburb of Chesterton, close to Cambridge Science Park. The official proposal from Cambridgeshire County Council, which had the backing of the rail industry, located the station at Chesterton Sidings on the Fen Line, which runs from Cambridge to King's Lynn. The station will connect to the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway and provide an interchange with Park & Ride and local bus services. The station was approved in December 2013. Construction commenced in July 2014 and the station is due to be operational by May 2017.
