Carles Delclaux Is (Sant Cugat del Vallès, 1951) is a textile artist formed in the Aymat's manufactures and in Massana School of Fine Arts in Barcelona. From 1970 to 1974 he led the Catalan School of Tapestry that in 1975 moves to Girona, where he creates a cathedra based on academicism and on learning the craft of weaver. His work is part of the collections of museums such as the MACBA, CDAN, Contemporary Tapestry Museum-Casa Aymat, CDMT and others, as well as from private collections and public institutions.
