Chièvres

Chièvres is a Walloon municipality located in the Belgian province of Hainaut. On January 1, 2006, Chièvres had a total population of 6,198. The total area is 46.91 km² which gives a population density of 132 inhabitants per km². Chièvres Air Base is located in the municipality. The municipality consists of the following sub-municipalities: Chièvres proper, Grosage, Huissignies, Ladeuze, Tongre-Saint-Martin, and Tongre-Notre-Dame.
