Citi began operations in Colombia in 1916, becoming the country's oldest international bank. Citi Colombia is part of Citigroup, a financial group with 200 years of experience in the financial sector. Bernardo Chacin is the President of the bank since May 2015 and is responsible for the Andean Cluster formed by Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. Chacin assumed the presidency in replacement of Bernardo Noreña. It is also part of Asobancaria, Colombia's financial sector.
