Colombian Conservative Party

The Colombian Conservative Party (Spanish: Partido Conservador Colombiano) is a traditional political party in Colombia. The party was formally established in 1849 by Mariano Ospina Rodríguez and José Eusebio Caro. Currently, the Conservative Party is the second largest political force in the congress. It is part of the coalition of Juan Manuel Santos and supported the conservative government of Álvaro Uribe since 2002.
