Cydamus

Cydamus (Berber: Tidamensi), also known as Cidamus, was a Roman-Berber city in present-day Ghadames, Libya. It was founded in 19 BC and lasted for nearly seven centuries until the Arab conquest. The site contained a fort (castrum), located on the Limes Tripolitanus.
