The Częstochowa massacre, also known as Bloody Monday, which took place on September 4, 1939, was a mass murder of more than 1,000 Polish civilians, some of whom were ethnic Jewish, carried out by the German Wehrmacht forces, on the 4th day of World War II in the Polish city of Częstochowa.
