Don Estaquio Hofileña Memorial High School

The school opened in 1980 after the Silay City National High School that transferred to the new location besides it. The school started as an extension class of Silay South Elementary School with some five teachers initially hired. In 1980, there was a move making the school as an independent one and given the name Don Eustaquio Hofileña Memorial Elementary School with its first own principal, and her name was Mrs. Mutya Jaranilla Arceo. The school has then 9 teachers and its served as an absorber of excess class and excess enrollment from other schools like Silay North Elementary School, Silay South Elementary School and Emilio Gaston Memorial Elementary School. The building was those inherited from the former Silay City National High School.
