EURid vzw/asbl (European Registry for Internet Domains) is a non-profit organisation appointed by the European Commission on 8 April 2003 as the domain name registry to operate the new .eu top-level domain. EURid uses the Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP) which enables registrars to perform operations on .eu domain names directly.
