French destroyer Fleuret
Fleuret was one of a dozen Le Hardi-class destroyers built for the French Navy during the late 1930s. After France surrendered to Germany in June 1940 during World War II, Fleuret served with the navy of Vichy France. She was renamed Foudroyant on 1 April 1941 to commemorate a destroyer of that name sunk by the Germans on 1 June 1940 during the Battle of France. Foudroyant was among the ships of the French fleet scuttled at Toulon, France, on 27 November 1942.
