Galway GAA

The Galway County Boards of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) (Irish: Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Coiste Chontae na Gaillimhe) or Galway GAA are one of the 38 GAA county boards in Ireland; they are responsible for Gaelic games in County Galway, and for the Galway inter-county teams. Galway is one of the few 'dual counties' in Ireland, competing in a similar level in both hurling and gaelic football. The two sports are run by separate county boards in Galway, which is unusual, even for a dual county.
