Gmina Chocianów

Gmina Chocianów is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Polkowice County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. Its seat is the town of Chocianów, which lies approximately 14 kilometres (9 mi) south-west of Polkowice, and 85 kilometres (53 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław. The gmina covers an area of 230.27 square kilometres (88.9 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 12,765 (of which the population of Chocianów is 8,215, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 4,550).
