Golden Valley is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place (CDP) in Mohave County, Arizona, United States. The population was 4,515 at the 2000 census. Golden Valley, Arizona was named after a company from Hollywood, California, that went into partnership with Crystal Collins to develop most of the land south of Highway 68 into 2.5 acre parcels. The company’s name was Golden Valley Development Company and they along with Crystal Collins sold the 2.5 acre partials for $600 each - $100 down and $10 per month.
