The hardyhead silverside (Atherinomorus lacunosus) is a silverside of the family Atherinidae, found in the Indo-Pacific near the surface. Its length is up to 25 cm. The species now also occurs in the Mediterranean, having invaded as a Lessepsian migrant through the Suez Canal.
