Harold Takooshian

Harold Takooshian is an American psychologist and academic perhaps best known as a premier authority on the Kitty Genovese case, having spent many years studying the subject. Takooshian graduated from City University of New York in 1979 with a PhD. He has been a member of the Fordham University faculty since 1975. Takooshian is a widely published essayist having penned articles for periodicals including; the Journal of Social Distress and the Homeless, International Psychology Bulletin and The Counseling Psychologist, among many other publications. Takooshian is currently a professor of psychology and Urban Studies at Fordham. He is a past President of Psi Chi the worlds' largest psychology honors society.
