Hemelgarn Racing

Hemelgarn Racing was a racing team in the CART series and the Indy Racing League owned by Ron Hemelgarn. The team won the 1996 Indianapolis 500 and 2000 Indy Racing League Championship with driver Buddy Lazier. The team had a best finish of 7th in the CART standings. Along with Lazier's Indy 500 win in 1996, the team also had two second place finishes at the Indy 500 in 1998 and 2000. Along with A.J. Foyt Enterprises, Hemelgarn was unique in having competed in at least one race in every season of the Indy Racing League's existence from 1996 through 2008.
