Hodges is a town in Greenwood County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 158 at the 2000 census. Hodges was named after Major General George Washington Hodges who was commander of all of South Carolina's Militia. George Washington Hodges born 9 September 1792 died 24 March 1876. He fought in the 1812 War. His grave is north east of town in a hidden pre-civil war cemetery.
