John William Ogden (1862 or 1863 – 23 March 1930) was a British trade unionist. Born in Heywood, Ogden began working half-time in a cotton mill at the age of eight and soon became active in his local trade union. In 1891, he was elected as secretary of the Heywood, Castleton, Norden and District Weavers' Association, and through this he served on the council of the Amalgamated Weavers' Association. He became president of the Amalgamated Weavers in 1910, and the following year was elected to the Parliamentary Committee of the Trades Union Congress (TUC). He served as President of the TUC in 1918, and as its delegate to the American Federation of Labour in 1920.
