Jordanian Armed Forces

The Jordanian Armed Forces (القوات المسلحة الأردنية), also referred to as the Arab Army (الجيش العربي), are the military forces of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. They consist of the ground forces, air force, and navy and is under the direct control of the King of Jordan who is the Commander-in-Chief. The current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is Major General Mahmoud Freihat, who is also the King's military adviser. It is today considered to be among the most professional in the region, and is seen as particularly well-trained and organized.
