Kasai, Hyōgo

Kasai (加西市 Kasai-shi) is a city located in Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. The city was founded on April 1, 1967 when the towns of Hōjō, Izumi and Kasai (former) were merged to create the city of Kasai. As of August 31, 2016, the city has an estimated population of 45,126 and a population density of 300.40 persons per km². The total area is 150.22 km². Kasai is the sister city of Pullman, Washington USA.
