Leinster Senior Hurling Championship

The Leinster Senior Hurling Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1888 for the top hurling teams in the province of Leinster in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer months with the Leinster final currently being played on the first Sunday in July. The trophy for the winning team is the Bob O'Keeffe Cup. In the current format, the four weaker teams play in an initial qualifier group. The top two teams in the qualifier group and the seeded teams complete the championship on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated.
