Luna Park, Olcott Beach

Luna Park (also commonly known as Luna Amusement Park) was an amusement park on the shore of Lake Ontario in Olcott Beach, New York, USA. A popular venue for live entertainment (with the Dreamland Dance Hall), it was open to the public from 1898 to 1927 (predating the Coney Island Luna Park by five years). The name of the dance hall and the inscription on the arch spanning the park's main entrance led to the commonly used nickname of "Dreamland." In 2003, Olcott Beach Carousel Park opened in the same location.
