Michigan's 8th congressional district

Michigan's 8th congressional district is a United States congressional district in Southern Michigan and Southeast Michigan. From 2003 to 2013 it consisted of all of Clinton, Ingham, and Livingston counties, and includes the southern portion of Shiawassee and the northern portion of Oakland counties.The district shifted slightly in the 2012 redistricting to include Rochester Hills. The district was first created in 1873, after redistricting following the 1870 census. The current congressman is Republican Mike Bishop, who has represented the district since 2015.
